Our fine arts programs give young artists the opportunity to explore various forms of creative expression. In each class, an experienced instructor leads planned activities while allowing students creative freedom to shape their projects. Students will not only develop artistic skills, but also learn to tell stories, collaborate with others, and explore their imaginations.
Students will experiment with different materials, colors, and textures through guided arts and crafts activities. Cutting, pasting, and coloring help children develop essential motor skills and cultivate artistic abilities.
Students are introduced to different artistic techniques and styles and learn to apply them to create works of art.
This class focuses on 2D art techniques, including painting, drawing, and printmaking. Students will learn to create different shapes, lines, and textures on flat canvases with various materials and tools.
Students will work with clay to make sculptures and pottery. They will learn different sculpting techniques, practice using clay tools, and decorate their final creations.
Using fabric and decorative materials, students will design and create their own clothing and accessories, bringing their unique visions to life.
Students learn sketching techniques to create still-life drawings inspired by nature, encouraging them to observe their surroundings closely and incorporate details into their artwork.
Students learn drawing and storytelling techniques to develop characters and create scenes. At the end of the term, each child will take home a portfolio of their work to share with family and friends.
Students develop storytelling and descriptive skills as they learn the fundamentals of creative writing. Through guided activities and prompts, they will create characters, build plotlines, and explore various writing genres.
Students collaborate to create newsletters to share with family and friends. They learn how to format publications and conduct interviews and hone their writing and organizational skills.
Students will learn the basics of investigative journalism and develop their writing skills to create captivating news-like stories and articles.
Guided by an instructor, students will read age-appropriate novels alongside their classmates and
engage in academic literary discussions. Students will develop reading comprehension and critical thinking skills while connecting with peers.
